It's been a month since I was in Umbria enjoying the Trasimeno Music Festival and the memories of that wonderful week are still very fresh. I remember the evening listening to Mozart's Elvira Madigan and doing something I have never done before in all of my 79 years: Standing up at the end and shouting BRAVO which was followed immediately by a chorus of BRAVOS, and one of the women from Atlanta saying she was so moved by Angela's playing she cried. It was that kind of evening, that kind of week. What else? Three four-star dinners with canapes on the green followed inside by champagne and wine and impeccable service; a tour of the town of Gubbio which some say is the loveliest town in Europe; the rest of that evening of Mozart, every offering so very memorable; Beethoven symphonies in an eleventh century church of great beauty; seating in the castle with the performers only a few feet away; and a gifr from the Festival of fine wines to take home and remind one of that wonderful week.

Dear Angela What a delight to hear you this morning on the CBC fm on "This is My Music". I have followed your career throughout the years and marvelled at your incredible talent. This morning was particularly poignant as you talked about your mother. "Mrs Hewitt" was my music teacher when I attended Glebe Collegiate back in Ottawa. Your comments re her music preferences was very special. Thank you for sharing some private moments with us and for bringing back many memories for me in particular. Your mother instilled in me a love of Classical music which becomes even stronger the older I become. Wanda Walker (Allan) Victoria, B.C.

Dear Angela, I heard you on "Q" on Chicago Public Radio while traveling to get home after a stressful 12-hour work day. I think you are amazing and brilliant!!! I love you playing and think you are a brilliant entertainer. Thank you for appearing on "Q." Please count me as one of your new devoted fans.

Dear Angela, recently, while deeply involved in my work, with the usual classical internet station in the background, a Bach keyboard selection came on. I had to stop everything and listen. Such nuance and feeling and subtlety. It was Bach as I had always wanted to hear him. Of course it was you. Thank you so much for reawakening my love for this compelling music. I have your Goldberg and WTC. I look forward to acquiring the rest. I also have Couperin and Rameau, so far. If you record it, I'll acquire it. I look forward to a live performance in the Boston area.

Angela, I was very moved by your Dublin concert. The Basel Chamber Orchestra seemed to me a perfect compliment to your style. It is the first time I have heard you live and I was left feeling glad to be alive, but sad that it was all over. Please come back again soon!

This is simply to say a very heart felt thank you for coming to play for us in Bristol last night. It was a profoundly moving and uplifting occasion and a performance that I will carry with me for a very long time to come as a reminder of the human potential for spirituality and creativity. The sight of Julia Schroeder stuffing a meat pie into her face beforehand in the garden of St George’s only served to reinforce the human connection!
