Dear Angela- Today, I heard on CBC Radio that you gave your first solo recital at the age of nine in Toronto. Tonight, we are going to celebrate my daughter passing Grade 6 Piano of the Royal Conservatory of Music. She is nine years old, and I will tell her the following story about your father. My great-grandfather was Frank Salmon, the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa, and I understand he persuaded your father to be the Choir Master. I wonder if he got a moving allowance to relocate from England? When I was nine years old, Godfrey gathered all the boys in Sunday school to audition for the choir. Your father suddenly stopped playing the piano half-way through the audition, looked at me, and said "do you enjoy playing hockey?". I said "absolutley" and he replied "then please go pursue your passion". My younger brother, on the other hand, went on to be a star soloist in the choir and continues to perform with Christ Church alumni. So my brother gained the gift of music, and I perfected my slap shot. I hope my daughter gains some insight from this anecdote. Here is to being nine in Ottawa! Wishing you continued in your career, Sean Caulfeild (older then nine) Sydney Caulfeild (just nine)

Dear Angela, Just to say thank you for such an enjoyable evening at Leigh on Tuesday (8th Nov) night. I was sat with my grandmother just behind the piano so we were convinced we had the best seats in the house! We met once at my (other) grandmother Beryl's house in Barnes and I also attended your masterclasses when I was studying at RAM. We didn't have tickets for the meal so dashed off afterwards, but had a lovely time. If it wasn't for local music enthusiasts putting on such events, and professional musicians giving time out of their busy schedules to come to small villages like Leigh, many local people would never get to enjoy live classical music unless they travelled to London. My very best wishes, Andrew

On November 7, 2011 I was blessed to enjoy your concert at The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Koerner Hall. I enjoyed each and every note. Hearing an artist live is always so wonderful. Thank you Miss Hewitt for a lovely evening. Your beautiful music moved me to tears.

I just LOVE your recordings. I listen to them again and again. Right now I'm enjoying the Rameau and couldn't resist trying to see if I could communicate to you how beautiful they sound. Thanks!!!!!!

Thanks Angela for coming to Hong Kong again! And thanks for bringing the beautiful Ravels to us! I had been listening to your Ravel CDs in the past few weeks in anticipation of the recital but if I may say so the live performance wholly surpassed the recordings! Please come back to Hong Kong soon, and hope you enjoy China. Please forgive any strange behaviour of the Chinese audience (including insisting on wearing beeping watches). Every country has to start from somewhere, and we do love your music out here.

Dear Ms. Hewitt, For several years now I've been listening to your rendition of BWV1052 with the Australian Chamber Orch. This a.m I listened to the first mvmnt. from another's perspective on a harpsichord, this afternoon I actually read your liner notes, it is such a gratification to have such musical enlightenment offered to one such as myself who finds music still the highest good that mankind offer to one another. Thanks, bruce Anderson

Dear Ms. Hewitt. Thank you for a most wonderful concert Friday evening in Melbourne and the French Suites recital the Sunday evening. Thank you very, very much for playing my special request: the Aria from the Goldberg Variations as the encore. There were very few dry eyes around after the last note. My wife and I will definitely attend your Goldberg Sydney Recital September 2012. Kind Regards, Paul.

Dear Angela, Your Mozart with the Melbourne Symphony on Friday was indeed lovely. Your charm, attention to detail and remarkable good taste brought the music to life. The only other pianist I can think of who plays with such grace is Mitsuko Uchida. I'd heard you twice before in Singapore, when you played the WTC and when you performed the Mozart 17th Concerto with the Singapore Symphony. It's a great pleasure to follow your work. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift of music with all of us. with best wishes, Jack
