I saw the nice article on you in The Times. I'm more of a jazz music fan, but I bought an old LP of Bach organ music, and thought one, Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, had a musical "thread" running through it -- was I right? If so, what is it? Thanks.
Its my turn to say what a thrill it was to see you and the Queen on the front page of The Ottawa Citizen.
I love reading your comments on your concerts and travels. Thank you for taking the time to do it for all your fans.
Hope all goes well in 2007
Dear Angela:
Congratulation for the OBE investiture, but from an aesthetics point of view, you don´t need it, because you are really THE QUEEN on the piano.
Kisses from Venezuela,

Dear Ms. Hewitt,
Glorious concert in New York. The Rameau was a wonderful surprise and the Beethoven very dramatic, more than compensating for the absense of Bach. I look forward to listening to your recordings of Beethoven and Rameau and can't wait to hear your performance of both books of the WTC next year.
Dear Angela,
Warm congratulations on receiving the OBE yesterday from Her Majesty the Queen ! That was a most well-deserved honor!

Dear Miss Hewitt,
Congratulations on your OBE investiture!!! What an exciting experience it must have been for you! It certainly brings a smile to my face to see you so deservedly recognized and appreciated.
May you find the sun shining in your world as you so shine in ours!

A new aristocrat of the piano has arrived: Angela Hewitt. Her Ravel and Couperin are colourful and warm, without manerism; her Bach, deep and refreshing as if you are hearing this great composer for the first time. I hope to hear soon on CD her Albeniz and Granados. What a gorgeous musical experience must be!

Dear Miss Hewitt:
A belated thank you for a spectacular evening in Calgary. The entire concert was a splendid experience, but the Rameau was magical -- full of frills and furbelows but with an undercurrent of strength and steel. I particularly enjoyed the part when you played Jurgen Gothe's theme music from Disc Drive on CBC -- something akin to a grin crossed over your face as you launched into it!
What I appreciate most about that whole evening, however, was the fact that in your insanely hectic schedule you take the time to give of yourself to causes such as WaterCan. The splendour of your magnificent solo evening at the Jack Singer with the beautiful Fasioli was intensified by knowing your generosity of spirit was underlying the event. Brava!
Dear Angela,
I am still in awe after having attended your concert at the Met Museum here in New York. As always with your performances, it was an incredible experience. I have always admired your use of ornaments in Bach and Couperin but the suite in a by Rameau that you played takes the cake, since it is like an encyclopedia of ornaments. What elegance and intelligence behind those sparkling notes!
Thanks for your good taste,
Sebastian
p.s. Not to put pressure on you, but like I told you backstage after the concert, I would not mind if you recorded the entire Beethoven sonata cycle excluding the Hammerklavier 😉
Dear Miss Hewitt,
You were absolutely breathtaking tonight in your performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the DSO! There was a tangible electricity between performer and audience that I've not ever seen and I could sense the oncoming outburst at the end of the first movement! You quite simply captivated us all with your elegance, grace, charm, beauty and divine playing. I found myself taking several of those deep breaths one takes when trying to hold on to the moment. One such that I remember dearly came in the chords 9 bars before the glissando....quite simply....perfection!
I nearly fell over when entering Orchestra Hall finding that you would be signing after the performance! I have adored your playing for so long and looked forward to tonight with such anticipation and meeting you was truly an honor! I had so much that I wanted to say but must admit that I became rather tongue tied in the presence of greatness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time you take for your fans. It means the world to the many that follow your career.
I am already looking forward to seeing you again in Grand Rapids in April for both your masterclass and performance at Calvin College. It will be truly exciting to see you working with students and hear your thoughts on playing not to mention the chance to hear you perform once again!
Thank you once again so very much for such an inspired performance tonight, the wonderful autograph and for
remembering my name!
May the sun shine on your world and with it health and happiness!
Kenny
