Dear Angela, I have collected every one of your fabulous records and for me you are simply the finest ever player of Bach's music on the Piano. I have always revered Edwin Fischer and Rosalyn Tureck in this music but you are even finer than them. I can listen to you for hours on end and still want more.
I heard you play Mozart sublimely in Brighton in April, and came to your recital at the Royal festival Hall on 22 May.I was bowled over by your wonderful playing, not just the Bach but also the sensuousness you gave the Ravel. I had never realised the emotional depth of Liszt's Sonata until I heard you play it. I had always regarded it as just a barnstorming display piece. How do you do it ?!!
I had the pleasure of meeting you afterwards when you kindly signed my CDs, you were so warm and welcoming to us ordinary members of the public !
I will come and hear you again at every opportunity.
