It was your gorgeous playing of Bach that drew me into his music and showed me that it really isn't the old fashioned, stodgy music that some make it to be. I adore your recordings of Ravel especially. For a while I have been quietly trying to understand just why I have been so attracted to your music and your style of playing ... and after reading your personal memoirs and your vision for the Umbria festival, it became clearer that the reason must have something to do with your exceedingly personal side and the beautiful things inside you that are reflected in your music. Your music is much more than notes and sounds but is so enlived with things of the heart. Thank you for sharing your joy and your gift. I was thrilled to read about such a festival as yours in such a setting as this is the perfect way to share music. I hope one year to attend.
