Just to say very many thanks indeed for your recital at Wyastone the other day. We had heard a number of your CDs, especially the Goldberg Variations, and revelled in the Sixth Partita, while it was good to hear Kinderscenen as a whole and beautifully knitted together.
But for me the revelation was the Brahms sonata. In the fourth quarter-century of one's life (just), it's always interesting to be presented with a work by one of the masters one has never heard before. But one lives with the fear that it may turn out there are good reasons why one has never heard it before - it's juvenilia, or a pot-boiler.
In this case, most certainly neither, and you thoroughly convinced us it was a major work, to be often revisited.
Thanks once more: come again!
