The Meta4 String Quartet from Finland is one of the most distinguished and innovative string quartets on the international stage. Comprised of four of Finland’s most prominent musicians, they will make their debut at the Trasimeno Music Festival with works by Schumann and Mendelssohn. Sally Beamish’s String Quartet No. 4, premiered in 2019 at London’s Wigmore Hall, is directly inspired by Schumann’s Quartet in A minor which opens the programme.
