Ottawa’s beloved piano superstar Angela Hewitt returns with the next chapter of her Mozart Odyssey project. Launched in March 2024, this ambitious undertaking sees Hewitt performing Mozart’s complete piano concertos with leading orchestras around the world through to December 2026.
Tonight marks the second Ottawa performance in the series, with other stops including New York, Milan, London, and Brussels. On tonight’s programme is Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 18, offering a delightful spectrum of Mozartian charm—from the scintillating, refined lyricism of the Allegro vivace movements to the serene sweetness of the Andante un poco sostenuto.
